i have very flat hair. i always get it cut with layers so it lightens it up some and then blow dry it with a defuser and a round brush. do this in sections starting at the bottom, and once you get to the crown of your head hold the brush towards your scalp and blow dry on a low heat. then let fly. i learned this trick from a youtube video. you would be surprised on how many beauty tricks you can find there.
